Collapse *some* levels in tag browser
Right-clicking the tag browser, I can Collapse All Levels. Is there a way of just collapsing the Current Level? E.g. I have 111 Authors starting with the letter B. If I'm in the middle of that list, I either have to scroll up to the top of the list, or Collapse All Levels. It's a small point, but if anyone's got any ideas, I'd be grateful!
Calibre 4.22 (sticking with this till DeDRM issues on 5.x are sorted). |

sure: Click the arrowhead again. Notice it changes direction? Sideways for (has more layers), down for Layers expanded
BTW this is a standard UI practice use everywhere |

Thanks, theducks. Unfortunately, when there is a long list of authors and the display is in the middle of the list, there are no arrows visible unless I scroll up to the top of the list (which I was sort of not wanting to do if there was a quicker solution). But it's good to hear from chaley that the next release could sort this - thanks.

I ended up adding the ability to collapse any parent. This could lead to a lot of menu lines so they are now in a submenu. The attachment shows an example.

Personally i think it might make sense to have "Collapse all" on the top level.
Also I notice in the current stable (5.3) right-clicking when all the tags are collapsed shows "collapse all" which obviously does nothing. If there's a way to detect that perhaps it could change to expand all. |
