Hi

Hi All-

Just recently bought a Sony Prs-700 and I love it. I'm still trying to work out the quirks with it but I'm loving it.

I'm a full time graduate student in Louisiana.

Hello liquidanbar, and welcome to MobileRead. I own a Sony PRS-505 and I've been curious about the controls on the 700. I understand that you "swipe" the screen with your finger to turn the page. Could be interesting.

You do know that MobileRead has LOTS of free books for your Sony, right? You can download mysteries, romances, science fiction, and even the "classics".

Hang around here and tell us about yourself. What are you studying? What types of books do you like to read? Do you find much time to read for pleasure while you're in graduate school?

Thanks for the welcome

I actually started out waiting for the 700 to come out so the 505 would go down in price, and then when I went to actually buy it.... I liked the 700 much better. The "Swipe" feels just like the movement you would make to turn a page on a paper book/page and is nice.

I've got all sorts of things to read, both books I've acquired here and other places and of course reading for school/work. The PDF viewer on the 700 was the other main reason I purchased this particular one.

I'm studying entomology and working in biological control of an invasive aquatic plant. I find lots of time to read on trips, and I try to read in the evening.
