Will I lose my ebooks if I upgrade caibre?
I opened calibre and it said there was a new version. I downloaded and began to install. I got so far as to drag the new calibre app into my applications folder but then I stopped because I worried that I would lose all my books in my library. Could someone please assure me that this will not happen?

For what it's worth, I've used calibre for around a decade and have never lost books due to an upgrade. The library is not stored in the same location as the application even on a Mac which is what I assume you are using.

Same here. Many program updates and versions and I've never lost an ebook.
