Worthy alternatives to Onyx Boox Note 2

Hi,
as pointed in my other post - my Note isn't working the best. With some luck I may revive it to life. Previous M92 failed due to screen damage. So I'm somehow nostalgic about OB devices.
Otherwise - it's time for change.
OB Note 2 looks almost the same (small HW upgrades), superior mostly by its highlight.
I would like to make some notes and read. OB still sound as a solid successor. Sony DPT supossedely has been closed/abandoned. reMarkable allows only PDF to be read. SuperNote or Alita are exotic for me, I haven't got any contact (beside YT/blogs) with it.

What's your suggestion?

Does it matter if Sony has abandoned the DPTs? They can still be found.
Remarkable 2 is scheduled to come out soon.
There's several other promising sounding Chinese devices. I listed a bunch of them a while back in the writers section of this forum.

Best of luck fixing the Note though.

After watching about 3 hours of Youtube video's (especially the 4-part videos) concerning the soon-to-be-released ReMarkable 2, it appears as if it's somewhat lousy for reading - in any native environment.
