Calibre library on NAS

Hello,

I want to store my Calibre Library on my NAS (Synology).
Just store and use it there, not use Calibre as a server.
Calibre runs on my PC and makes contact with my NAS.

I can copy it to my NAS or use Calibre to move the library. I tried both.
Eather way the result is dat I can approach my Library in Calibre and open and read books, but I can't change anything or add books.

I get a "can't open Error"; "Unable tot open file".

The FAQ says I have to use the content server.
When I use the content server I can't add books even as the library is on my local disk.
