Kindle PW3 stuck or bricked | Need some assistance

Hi everyone, my PW3 is frozen or bricked. I'm not even sure how to diagnose the issue as the PW3 just doesn't show any sign of life.

I was playing around with Alpine Linux for PW3. Everything worked fine, I've used had it on my Kindle for months and occasionally tinkered with it.
I wished to return to the homescreen, so I signed out as usual but then nothing happened. I'm left with a totally blank screen (not turned on and nothing on it).
Usually the device reboots after logging out of Alpine Linux.

So far I've tried plugging in the device into my Windows 10 machine. Nothing pops up in Device Manager.
Holding the power button for a long time also hasn't done anything.

How do I go about diagnosing this further? Is my device fully bricked?

I've just noticed that the screensaver popped up on the screen. When I press the power button, the device does seem to 'unlock' as the screensaver disappears but I'm just left with an entirely blank screen. After not touching the device for about 10 minutes the screensaver displays again.

The device now also shows up in Device Manager (not sure why it wasn't before). It shows up under 'Portable Devices' as 'E:\'. It does NOT show up in Windows Explorer.

I suspect that if you've installed a Linux on your Kindle, no-one here is going to have many ideas.

Apart from a general one: Make sure the battery hasn't run out. Leave it plugged into a wall charger (not a computer USB port) for at least 24 hours, and then try a full reset, whatever that it for your Kindle. (usually, I think, holding the power button down for 20 seconds.)

Thank you! Holding down the power button for 20 seconds worked.
