Segmentation fault on Mint 20

Hi,

I just bought a new Lenove desktop computer and installed Linux Mint 20. I then installed Calibre and the install seemed to terminate correctly. The installation output:

rozen@atlas: ~ > sudo -v && wget -nv -O- https://download.calibre-ebook.com/linux-installer.sh | sudo sh /dev/stdin

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same result.

Calibre has been an integral part of my computing existence for years and I am anxious to continue using it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Post a backtrace. On systemd based distros that is "echo bt | coredumpctl gdb" on other distros you will need to run under gdb or google for how to get a backtrace.

That's a crash in libqxcb-glx-integration.so which is a system component, indicating issues with the opengl drivers on your system. Try updating mesa and/or you opengl dirvers.

I discovered two things:
1) while the command "calibre" caused the segmentation error the command "calibre --detach" works fine.
2) I found that the ancient line "export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1" in my .bashrc file seemed to be causing the segmentation error.

I removed the line in 2) and now consider my problem solved.
