RegExp Help
Hi all.
When I click on Authors>F, I get the following in the search bar: author_sort:"~(^[F])|(&\s*[F])" I understand that to the left of the OR, the expression is to "find at the beginning (of the author column) anything that begins with the capital letter F. What does the ampersand symbol mean, please? Thanks in advance. |

& is used to separate author names, and that search expression is searching author_sort: not authors:

Ok. Understood. I know the \s is for white space but I still don't know what the & does?

The & doesnt do anything, its normal text. the regex is searching for an author name at the start of the string or after an & character.
