In calibre imported books won't open
The last time I opened one of my books (imported from kindle)was in March. Every thing worked fine as I opened the book as epub. Yesterday, using view choosing either epub or AZW3 only opens up a window with the books cover. If I click on path I can see that the books are they just won't open.

Dont import books from your Kindle, they are often placeholder or split into multiple files that are downloaded on demand. Instead download the book from your manage my content page on amazon.com which will give you a complete and useable azw3 file.
