Best way to back up the 'state' of my jailbroken paperwhite 4?

I've spent a lot of time getting my Kindle set up *exactly* how I want it. Now according to Murphy's Law I'll lose it or someone will steal it.

What's the best way to back up all the 'work' I've done so that if lost I could purchase another jailbroken paperwhite 4 and copy over the work?

rsync?

which directories ? all of /mnt/us ? anything to exclude?

it's relatively difficult to understand when restoring which directories are created by mrpi/kual extensions and which I could re-create on my own.

userstore (i.e., /mnt/us), everything else's housekeeping is internal, and will be taken care of by the jailbreaking/reinstall process.

TL;DR: You don't have to do anything fancy.

Restore the backup *prior* to installation, because it'll likely be older than the stuff you'll use in that potentially far off moment in time.
