Clara image question

I bought my Clara on Black Friday, learned how to patch it and made an image to upgrade to a larger sd card. Everything has been working great!

I like my Clara so much, I just ordered another since they might be discontinued and I plan to upgrade the sd card in it.

So, I was wondering if I could just make a current image of my original Clara to put on the sd card to put in the new one instead of going through the whole upgrade process?

It may or may not save much effort, but I'm curious which is the better way to go?

That will work. It is basically what is being done with the images used to revive dead devices.

The only issue is the serial number. That is used in a few places, but, isn't that important. If you want to fix it, the serial number should be at offset 0x200 in the image. That has "SN-" followed by the serial number.

Thanks, davidfor, I thought there might be some identifier in the image. Good to know it really doesn't matter and I can change it.
