How can I pin one particular series onto my Home screen?

Is there some way I can pin a particular series ("20MostImportantBooks" series) to my Home screen, through some patch or hack or whatever?

I am easily distracted with more than a thousand books on my Forma.
(Please don't tell me to just keep 20 books on my Forma. I do like to give myself breaks from the Top 20 and spend a bit of time with the "thousands".

You cannot pin a specific series to the home screen.

@droopy,

There isn't a "pin option" exactly but you may be able to force the 3-book-tile in (row2, col2) of the Home screen to be a shortcut to your chosen Collection.
  • Goto MyBooks Collection tab.
  • Open your chosen Collection's booklist and open a book. Or maybe it's enough just to open that Collection's booklist - you'll have to experiment.
  • When you next go to the Home screen you should see your chosen Collection in (row2, col2)

There are some arcane rules governing whether this works. Unfortunately I don't think anyone has ever pinned down exactly what they are, but one of them is that there needs to be a minimum number (maybe 3 or 4) of "unread" books in that Collection.

It's just enough to open the collection.

While that works to put a specific collection on the home screen, if you go into a different collection that fits the rules, you then lose the collection you had on the home screen.

So as to pinning, there's no way to do it. That's why I wouldn't even bother to try.

You'll have to ask in the Kobopatch thread or the thread about the patches for the current firmware.

That't roughly what I have worked out. Except that it can be a collection, or author with only one unread book. And if you don't use a collection to open the book, the collection or author displayed tends to be one containing your current book. Or the previous book if there are no unread for that collection/author.

And for the record, series are not included in this. I've asked Kobo, but, it hasn't been done yet. The response was close to a moment.
