Build a standalone server/cli
Hello!
I setup my new server based on ubuntu 20.04. This new system is headless and therefore I don't want to have any X related stuff on it. Is there a possibility to setup only the server and the cli, no graphical frontend. I don't want to fullfill the dependencies for all the X/graphic stuff. It is no need on the system for that. Any hints? BR Holger |

You dontneed to build anything, calibre comes with pre-built binaries. And see the bottom of: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/server.html

No, calibre does not provide deb packages, it has standalone binaries, which you install from https://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux
and it has no dependencies beyond those noted in the link I provided earlier. |
