New Kobo: Nia
Not sure if this is news or should be in the Kobo forum. If it should be moved, please feel free.

This comes from Good e-Reader, so consider the source. But: The Kobo Nia e-reader is out soon

Details are non-existent. Speculation is that it will be a low end replacement for the Aura 2 or maybe the Clara. Those would make sense.

If this is finally a 6" Kobo that is both waterproof and has color changing light, I'll buy it (once the first wave is out and all Kobo's usual flaws are fixed).

Yeah, the title is also kind of cludgy. I almost reworded it to something like "The Kobo Nia e-reader is coming soon" but I didn't want to lose that Good e-Reader flavor.

I agree with the comments there about the Clara needing a touch more bezel and grippability.

Hope this device, if it's replacing the Clara, addresses that.

Yeah, the focus on ever smaller bezels seems like something for marketing and reviewers. People gripe about the bezels on the Nook Glowlight 3, but I love them.

Since the image used by Good e-Reader was lifted from the FCC site, very likely this a real device. As usual, they got some of it wrong such as saying a SanDisk SD card when the FCC says it's a San16GB eMMC SDSDQAB-016G.

That is a manufacture code for a SanDisk SD card.

I presume the eMMC part simply means it's embedded (soldered on), which the articles does mention.
