Moon+ Reader - Mark Book Read/Unread?

Been poking around and I can't seem to figure out how to do this - is there a way to mark a book as read/unread while leaving it on your bookshelf?

Even better - be able to select multiple books and mark them as Read/Unread?

I have Moon+ Reader Pro.

Thanks in advance!

Each book on my shelf shows a % read. As a small number overlaid on the thumbnail. Once that reaches 100 you are done.
And the ones showing zero or no number are unread
Simples

Info is also shown in book details, on recents tab..

But there is no toggle that lets you lie, by marking a book as read without reading it in the app. I guess you could cheat and read the last page only?

Yep, that's how I've been doing it, going in to the individual books and moving the slider to 100%. I was hoping there was a method that involved less steps.

I tend to read books repeatedly, and have recently switched devices, so I wanted to set the books I've read recently to "read" for organizational purposes.

I have not really explored the multiple shelf feature, but could you not more all the read books to a separate shelf. I think you can multi select and bulk move in and out of shelves.

Otherwise, use a feeder librarian app like calibre companion which I think allow for a read y/n column, but you have to manually update it

I put read books into a separate Favourites folder, i. e. shelf.

Like you, I re-read. What I do on my Kindles is to have a collection for each year, and as I finish a book, I put it into the collection for that year. Now that the collections are stored on the cloud, I can see how many times I've read a book and what year it was read (of course, this is only true for how many/what year since I started using collections--some books I've been re-reading since I was a child). Does Moon reader have a way to backup/store collections so that they move from one device to another? I know that they can now store reading progress this way.

It's easy to find and copy the moon database .dB file
Or copy the whole app folder from, I think, somewhere in android/data

I don't think there is a visual mark on the books. There is a filter choice of displaying All, Unread, Reading and Finished.

To mark a book as Finished

When you view your bookshelf or books in a series, there is the percentage line below the image.
To the right of that are three vertical dots.
Tap those dots.
Tap Edit Book Information.
Scroll down to Read Filter: Auto
Tab on Auto.
You now have a choice to tap on
Unread
Reading
Finished
Click OK

Now, back on your bookshelf page, towards the top right, there is a funnel icon to filter your bookshelf. When you tap on the icon you now have a screen with radio buttons and you can change the Read filter to what you want.

Thank you for sharing so much about e-book devices. I am now looking for such a gadget. Since I started working at Eduzaurus, I have started reading a lot of books and other sources. The reason is that I need to read a lot in order to write quality writing and content. It became uncomfortable for me to read from a smartphone or a laptop, because now reading takes a very long time. I hope I find something suitable for me and soon the reading will become not only useful, but I am many times more enjoyable. Thank you so much!
