Problems in reading and convertin an azw3 comic file
Hi!
I'm sorry if I ask a question that has an answer elsewhere, but I have searched the forum for a long time without finding a solution to my problems. I purchased a comic ebook on Kindle store, downloaded with the Kindle software for PC ver. 1.17.1 (44183) and I imported it in Calibre (4.13 Windows 10) by removing the DRM thanks to the plugins indicated also here on mobileread. Everything seems to work for the best, but, unlike other imported comics, I can't read this azw3 file correctly with the integrated Calibre reader. The fact is that, except for the cover, all the pages (both text and containing the images) do not fit in the window, but are cut off. Here's 2 screenshot as example: https://imgur.com/om1SAKY https://imgur.com/RbfzJpY A further problem consists in the fact that if I try to convert this book to PDF leaving all the default options, I get a file with more pages than the original book in which the single images of a page are cut and shown on multiple pages. Here are screenshot with 2 pages with 2 images that are on the same page in the original book: https://imgur.com/MB2yd5l https://imgur.com/pVbVbIL The conversion to epub also gives me a file that I can not read correctly neither in Calibre (same problems as the azw3 original file) nor in other programs (Sumatra detects only 3 pages out of 120). I therefore ask you: 1) how can I normally read the comic in Calibre? 2) how to correctly convert the file to PDF and epub? Thank you very much for the attention! |

This will be a fixed layout ebook which calibre does not support. Your best bet is touse the unpack book tool in calibre (Preferences->Toolbars) and copy all the images out of the book and zip them up into a cbz file.

There is no way to correctly convert the file in pdf format? I can extract correctly the images in the the comic book, but there are also some normal text pages in the book that I can not handle correctly... |
