Help with Managing Books in a Series

Since there is not much else to do I decided to organize my Calibre by using the Metadata option. When you are entering info for a book series you can enter the number that the book is in the series under the number field. When I close out of the Metadata and am back at the main menu where you can see the author, date added, etc. headers there is not a specific header where the Number is listed so I wouldn't know what order to read the series in. Is there a way to get the Number field added to the Main Menu headers? Thank you!!

The series column has the number that you entered:
It appears in the form the series name [#]
If you don't see that, the column may be to narrow.

Series also shows in the details or the Info pane
