Using Shortcuts on the "Edit Metadata Dialog"
I am trying to use shortcuts from the "Edit metadata" dialog screen. Example of screen shot below:
Moderator Notice <attachment was already provided. inline size violated the guidelines> Is there a way to access the command buttons using the letter shortcuts as indicated by the letter in that is underlined in the command button: For instance: - B for Browse - R for Remove - e for Trim borders - v for Download cover - G for Generate cover When try these shortcuts, nothing happens. Thank you in advance. Last edited by theducks; 03-17-2020 at 11:25 AM. |

did you try Alt+ the letter (IIRC the case is not needed, but I could be wrong. Then it would be Alt+Shift+letter)

FTR : they are not Keyboard shortcuts (which are configurable), they are 'Accelerator keys' which are baked into the code.
In the MDE dialogues some accelerators work, some don't, and some letters have multiple assignments. It's one of the reasons I edit in the book list. The others were: the tab order and the field positioning are sub-optimal. I tried the 3 layouts and adjusting the custom column ordering tweak, but could not get a configuration that suited my Books, Media and Journals libraries. The View Manager plugin gives me control over field positioning (in multiple views) on a per library basis. Tab order is always l->r (r<-l with shift tab), and accelerator keys are irrelevant. BR |
