Search Custom Columns

In calibre's documentation in the Search Interface, it says that "Available fields for searching are: tag, title, author, publisher, series, series_index, rating, cover, comments, format, identifiers, date, pubdate, search, size, vl and custom columns."

What I have tried to do is use the custom column headings that I have created and search just like using calibre column headings.

For example:

Calibre column heading search: series:"off"
delivers an answer of series with off in the name

Custom column heading search: series2:"off"
using the heading in this way delivers no answers at all

>>> What do I need to do to make my custom columns searchable just like the regular calibre columns

Use the lookup name prefixed with a '#' - hover on the column header to see the name, or look at Preferences->Add your own columns, or get a list from the JobSpy optional plugin.

e.g. #mycolumn:"=whatever"
