Is there an app/website that can sync my Calibre library's list of titles & authors?

Is there a way I create my in-house library catalog of all the books that are in my Calibre... so that if I'm not in front of my computer, and have just access to my smartphone, I'll know what books I have and what books I don't have (yet)?

I ask this as a LibraryThing user. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to sync Calibre with my LibraryThing catalogue. But I'm not exclusive with LibraryThing -- if you know of some other website/app that can sync titles and authors, please let me know.

Calibre has an inbuilt catalog-creating feature. Why not use that? You can upload it to Dropbox or a similar cloud service and access from any device.

For smartphones, there's also Calibre Companion. That would also fulfill your purpose, I think.

I use Calibre2OPDS which generates a catalog (a copy) of my actual library to dropbox (don't just move your library to Dropbox - bad stuff may happen). I then use UpDog to create a URL to access the files.

I don't need to access the files. I just need to know what books I have (and what I don't have).

A catalog can be an e-book or CSV
Right click the Convert Icon: Create Catalog: <decide>

Catalog respects the current views limits. Run it from a VL and that is what gets done. Run a search...

Ah, my bad, sorry.

Well, for stuff that I want to keep such as this on my phone etc, I would do the catalog thing as TheDucks suggests create a PDF or ePub of the results.

At one time, I had a password ePub (because my job had different passwords for each system we accessed and there were lots of them). I added a cover & metadata etc so it looked "innocent". Ah, good times.

You could use Goodreads. The Goodreads Sync plugin will let you add books to your Goodreads account to look at via their site.

Otherwise, convince someone to write the equivalent plugin for LibraryThing.

Ok. I'll try to use Goodreads Sync just to get a catalogue of my ebooks.

UPDATE: I've just installed the GoodReads Sync plugin and created a GoodReads.com account. Now how can I simply get all my books on Calibre and on Kobo to be synced to my GoodReads.com account?

You need to configure it. There are instructions in the first post of the Goodreads Sync thread. There is also help from within the config dialog. They aren't perfect, but, they should get you going and anything I said now would be repeating what is in them. If you have problems after looking at these, ask away.

The purpose of Updog is to be able to publish one’s Calibre2OPDS catalog - see skb’s post. I was looking for suggestions as to how to replace thisnfunction once Updog closes in Feb 2020.

Hi,
There are other free hosts out there: google "freehosts", I have 3 copies of my library as backups. I have also added a simple gatekeeper password page, so not everyone can access it.

I'd also recommend goodsync for syncing the site, as once fully uploaded it only sync's the changed files.

However i also just found an alternative for android phone users. KWS server. I only have about 400 books so I stuck my library on SD card and can serve it when I like.

If you have an old phone you don't need, there is a tutorial somewhere out there I read showing how to open a port on your router and basically host your site on the phone.
