Sending to kindle issues

I previously kept all books in epub. To send to kindle I now have set format default as mobi. Can I set default format for sending books to kindle in mobi. When now i polsh books i have two formats showing up in formats how do I fix it???TIA

IMHO AZW3 is a better format to side load modern Kindles
BUT to answer your Q:
Preference: Behavior: Set output format: <choice>

Thanks I fixed the above. Have set the device to convert to awz3 before sending to device but the problem is then i have a book in two formts epub and format. Is it possible there is a way to automatically delete the awz3 after transfer to kindle?

Why worry? Are you that low on HD space?
Besides It is best to convert (later, you might have a different need) from the ORIGINAL format.
FWIW I have a custom column the I indicate 'what format' was the original.
(you might need to Manually select the (original) Convert from format, if multiples exist)

I have 3 formats AZW3, MOBI & EPUB. & Save ALL on my computer & Flash drive. I have 4,000 ebooks including massive box sets. They barely cover the 32 gig flash drive nor my eReaders they have 32 gig space.
