Aura max number of annotations ?

Hello, what is the maximum number of annotations on Kobo Aura Edition 1 ?
Is it global to the whole device or for each ebook ?

It may vary with kepub vs epub or fw version. I do a huge amount of annotating on the Kobo Aura HD H2O, which likely has the same limits and while I've had problems, none were the number of annotations.

I don't believe there are any set limits. The annotations are stored in a database and read for display. The limits are probably going to be database size, disk space and memory usage. I'm pretty sure you will get sick of making annotations before you hit any limits.

Thank you. I thought I had read somewhere there was a limit of 255 but it was possibly
for another device. For the fun, I copied .kobo\KoboReader.sqlite to my PC disk and
browsed it using SysTools SQLite Viewer and it seems everything is in this db , stats ,
authors ,etc and a table named Bookmark which seems to contain annotations .
As far as I can see there is no limit on its fields but I am no DB specialist.
