Can't convert to LRF
I have some file that I can't convert to lrf using Calibre no matter what I do. It is in PDF and I even tried converting it to lrf by first converting it into epub, docx, txt, but still when I convert it to lrf I can't open it with calibre ebook reader and epubor.
This is the error message I get when I open it with calibre ebook reader Quote:

Why are you converting it to LRF? And the first thing you should do is update calibre to the latest release.

I don't think you could get it upgraded and if you did, it would not work well. Most ePub these days use high-resolution graphics (at least for the cover) and the 500 would have a fit trying to open that. It's rather slow and doesn't have the capability. My suggestion is to buy a Reader that handles ePub well. I would recommend a Kobo. There are a number of different models to choose from. All will have a much nicer screen with higher resolution and a front light. Plus, they'll be faster and lighter to hold.

I see some of you are consulting me to buy new e-reader. And I see that it is common for e-readers today to have wifi, but how good are they in connecting to the net and for displaying those archived magazines?
For instance could I read this on new e-reader? I mean how good/ readable would it look like? https://archive.org/details/GalaxyV1...2AkFhd/page/n5 |

Ok thank you very much for the info, David.
I was also looking reviews on kindle and it seems that below kindle 4 is not that much worth buying, but when I look at stores they don't give number 1, 2, 3 or 4 but Kindle "Paperwhite 2018 SP" so is that like equivalent to 4 or lower or upper? Or Kindle 2019 SP? Or Kindle Oasis, 7"? |
