Can you fully turn off the light on any current or recent model Kindles?
I have read a few places the Paperwhite family and Voyage frontlights cannot be fully shut off. What about the Oasis versions and the bog standard Kindle?

On Kindle 10th gen (2019 basic, KT4) and Paperwhite 10th gen (2018, PW4), the 0 setting is completely off except if you're using invert/night mode on PW4.

Dunno about Oasis.

Thank you. Do you have a 2019 Basic? How is the screen color/contrast? I have an old Kindle 4NT that has a beautifully light grey screen with very dark black lettering and nothing else I have seen looks as good as this low end device. Everything else has darker/greener displays that seem to rely on the frontlight to make them a more pleasant shade. I prefer reading in natural light with no LEDs.

Oasis 1: 0 is completely off. I hear the same is true of 2.

0 is also completely off for the Oasis 2.

In addition, the light can be turned completely off on any jailbroken Kindle.

Can't say I noticed any difference compared to my PW3/4.
