ReMarkable or Boox Nova Pro 7.8?
I've currently got the Likebook Mimas and am not happy with the software. Ironically, I switched to the Likebook Mimas from an Onyx Boox N96 because I wasn't happy with the software of that device, so I'm a bit leery about going back to Onyx Boox.
However, I've read good reviews of the Nova Pro. I've read that it's easy (or easier than with previous devices anyway) to export notes from the Nova Pro's default notetaking app to Dropbox or One Note. Is this true? One of the problems with each Android e-ink device I've owned is the incredible lag when using apps like OneNote that weren't designed for e-ink. A good default note taking app on the Nova Pro would eliminate that problem for me I think. For anyone who has the ReMarkable, how easy is it to export notes to OneNote, Dropbox or Google Drive? Secondly, I'm pretty sure that apps like the Kindle app can't be sideloaded so I'd have to convert all of my Kindle books to another file format. Is the reading experience on the ReMarkable any good? Can notes/highlights be exported to OneNote or Dropbox? If so, the ReMarkable would seem to have a nice function that Amazon's refused to include on their e-ink Kindles. Lastly, I know that many people here are quite knowledgeable about the e-reader industry as a whole. Has anybody heard/read any legitimate info on whether Amazon's going to make me regret purchasing the Nova Pro or ReMarkable because they finally release a note taking/e-reader device in late 2019 or early 2020? Or perhaps a new version of the Kindle DX? I'd pretty much given up on Amazon releasing a new innovative e-ink Kindle, but wonder if the seemingly really positive response to the new B&N e-ink device might make Bezos care about the Kindle again. |

Hi
Reminder: - BOOX Note Pro can satisfy you, but it must be added that Remarkable has no backlight. - With the latest Update [2.1.2], is Note PRO much more reactive. It also offers more options than the Likebook Mimas. It also has smaller edges and is considerably lighter. -I don't know exactly what format you mean, but I don't need to format my Kindle books for reading on Onyx, because NeoReader 3.0 doesn't have a problem to read / run. TiP ~ If you don't need a backlight, there are currently BOOX NOTE PLUS - 10.3 (325g) discounts Save Up To $103.97 , Only For Note/Note Plus/Note Pro Last edited by Michal Jancik; 06-14-2019 at 04:51 PM. |
