I want to maintain a the precise file name when converting to whatever.
Reading around, Getfilename, is the way to go but I don't get how it works. Is there a step-by-step guide out there as I haven't seem one? |

The GetFileName plugin retains the file path/name in a custom column when a book is added - e.g "c:\users\username\downloads\booksource\blah-blah 12345.pdf". Read the GetFilename thread for how to use, see ==>> Index of plugins. GFN is a File Type plugin, so its in a separate section in the Index - towards the back.
If you have any issue/queries regarding any plugin post them in that plugin's thread. BR |
