Cover opnemen in de automatische TOC probleem

Ik weet niet of ik de terminologie helemaal onder de knie heb maar....
Ik gebruik al een paar jaar Sigil en ik heb al verschillende e-books gemaakt en gekochte een beter opmaak gegeven en TOC's toegevoegd.
De procedure was inhoudsopgave aanmaken en dan een html inhoudsopgave aanmaken, de zgn TOC
In de nieuwste versie van Sigil is er een nav.xhtml map ipv een TOC en die volgt automatisch de gemaakte/gewijzigde inhoudsopgave.
Geweldig, maar ... ik wil de Cover en maar ook de html inhoudsopgave in de html inhoudsopgave opnemen. Met de cover lukt dat maar dan verschijnt er boven de cover afbeelding het woordje cover en de inhoudsopgave krijg ik er nu helemaal niet meer in. Voorheen wel.

Sigil will generate NAV TOCs only for epub3 books. You might want to change the default book type to epub2:

Select Edit > Preferences > General settings > Create new or empty epubs as Version 2.

To add an HTML TOC (TOC.xhtml) entry to the NAV TOC of an epub3 book:

1. Select Tools > Edit Table Of Contents.
2. Highlight the first entry.
3. Click Add Above, Select Target, highlight TOC.xhtml and click OK.
4. Double-click the empty box left of Text/TOC.xhtml and enter the name of the TOC, e.g. Inhoudsopgave, and click OK.

Ik zie mijn vraag en schrik er van. Ik had wat problemen met m'n toetsenbord en ik zie dat ik zonder het te controleren een behoorlijk verminkte tekst heb geproduceerd. De essentie van mijn vraag ontbreekt zelfs wat blijkt uit het antwoord van Doitsu die mij adviseert terug te keren naar epub2.
Mijn vraag behelsde dat ik blij was met de in epub gecreëerde nav.xhtml die in feite automatisch een TOC produceert op basis van de gemaakte inhoudsopgave. Ik heb een paar boeken gemaakt waarin ik voortdurend zaken wijzig en/of toevoeg. In epub 2 moest ik na het opnieuw maken van een inhoudsopgave ook een nieuwe TOC toevoegen maar in epub3 is dit niet meer nodig. Na het invoegen van de vernieuwde inhoudsopgave is de TOC automatisch aangepast. Werkt als een zonnetje maar ....
In epub2 voegde ik ook altijd de cover EN de TOC aan de inhoudsopgave toe maar in epub3 lukt me dat niet meer. Het toevoegen van de cover lukt wel maar dan verschijnt op de coverpagina het woordje cover boven de coverafbeelding. De TOC toevoegen (ik snap best dat dat een beetje dubbelop is want die link verwijst naar zichzelf maar in epub2 was dat kennelijk geen bezwaar) is me tot dusverre niet gelukt.
Dank nogmaals aan Doitsu voor het meedenken maar epub2 beheers ik al helemaal.

Since epub3 books can have up to 3 tocs (nax.xhtml, TOC.xhtml and toc.ncx), it's unclear what TOC you're having problems with.

If you follow my instructions, you should be able to add references to any (X)HTML file to nax.xhtml. If it doesn't work, you're obviously doing something wrong. It'd help if you provided screen captures that illustrate your problem.

If you create an .xhtml cover page with Sigil, it won't add the word cover above the cover image. If it's there, it must have been added by another tool or the author of the template that you bought.
