Restoring exact books and positions after factory reset

Hi all,

I seem to be having battery issues with my Kobo Clara HD and I'd like to try to do a factory reset and try reinstalling all my books.

I want to restore the books I had on the device from the Calibre library (I have about 400 books, and about 103 books are on the device itself). I have the KoboUtilities set up also and it is correctly storing my bookmark/page though if I lose that I don't care so much - the important thing is the books itself.

I tried searching the forum and reading the FAQs but couldn't find an answer, so apologies if this has been covered.

I don't know all the Kobo tricks yet (or even close )

To track what was there:
Connect the device and let calibre find it.
Search: ondevice:true ; Select all results: Tap 'E" (bulk metadata edit); and apply a TAG eg MyKobo

That won't save your reading positions, just what was there
BUT Kobo utilities PI should do that part
