[MacOS] "send to device" tab not showing

book in the epub format is added to library. when I then want to "send to device" this tab is not there. what to do? (when I check preferences the tab is showing in import/export)

sounds like calibre did not see the device.

try plugging device and plugging back in.

if that fails, restart calibre with device plugged in

Besides having the device detected...
Did you by any chance 'clean up'

the menues?
The item that MUST be on the 'when connected' menu is the Location Manager

BUT now I see that my MacBook is not seeing my SONY reader. What to do about that?
(I also have a Kindle and it sees that)

This is not a Calibre problem if the MAC won't see the device.

Could be anything from a Bad Sony to the USB Port on your computer.
