PW3 - 2 questions about removing ads
I have a PW3 with firmware version 5.10.1.1.
The ads at the bottom of the homepage really annoy me. ![]()
Thanks for any help! |

Paying the $20 gets rid of all the ads. I don't want ads on my Kindle either and I always pay the extra money to get rid of them.

Nope. No ads. I usually buy my Kindles without ads. They cost $20 more when you get them. I got my Paperwhite 4 with ads because they were out of stock on the ones without them. First thing I did was pay to remove them.

Note that there are ads and then there are "Reading Recommendations". The latter can be turned off in the settings.

Also note that you can enable the ads again even after paying to get rid of them. You won't get your money back, and you can subscribe / unsubscribe anytime without charge. You need to connect to wifi and sync to make a change effective.
Removing recommendations only works without the new home screen. If you choose the new home screen instead of library view, recommendations have to be enabled. |

I asked to get the ads removed over tech support. I explained i'm not a US resident and ads weren't useful for me. After less than 2 minutes i had no more ads on my kindle.

I paid for add removal as well. You can reinstate the adds but they sure don't give you your $20 back
