KPW4 battery life with audiobooks?

I am thinking of acquiring the new PW4 specially since it now contains Bluetooth. However I want to know how much does the audiobook playback impact the battery? how long does the battery last playing audiobooks continuously?

My husband uses his PW4 for audio and his Apple mini tablet. He alternates between them. The PW4 uses more battery life, but it's not as bad as my Oasis 2. So the larger battery in the Paperwhite 4 will last longer. Hope this helps

I can't say how much longer since I don't use audio on my Oasis 2. We just tested them side by side after he got his PW4 . It didn't take long to notice the difference. The PW4 is also less expensive than both Mini and Oasis.

I listened to an audio-book briefly on mine and it is no where near as bad as the battery drain on the oasis. I do not remember the percent or how long I listened. Sorry. In general I use my ipad for audiobooks so I can read and listen at the same time. Also the new paperwhite has a power saver feature I hope will get added in an update for the Oasis.

That actually does help a lot

. Would you be able to find out about how much percent lowers in a n hour or so? I think this will answer if I get the PW4 or not

He averages about( 4) 8hr. books before he needs to charge. This would also depend on reading speed. He also charges at about 30% left.

I'm getting my info second hand and it's( 4 ) 4hr. books, Sorry I had it right the first time and changed it to 8hr books, these books vary in length. So based on 4hr. books 16hrs. of audio more or less per charge. Still it's pretty good.

Amazon has reading at 21 hrs. 1\2 per day on a charge. YMV.
