Hoopla Reboots Android Phone

For a number of months my MotoZ Play Android phone suddenly reboots while listening to a Hoopla audio book. There is no warning, error message or other indication of a problem. Once restarted, loading Hoopla again will pick up where I was in that title, but to say the least, this is highly annoying. I contacted Hoopla but they only say they are aware of the problem.

I run the latest version of Android (8.0) and have uninstalled/reinstalled Hoopla, but that has no effect.

Any help would be much appreciated.
