Troubleshooting Question about "Word Wise" Kindle app android

Sorry, I have been googling around but can't seem to find the specific answer.

I have a kindle device and I downloaded a book which has "Word Wise" enabled and the feature works for the book as it's supposed to.

But when I copied the exact same file to my android device
..\Android\data\com.amazon.kindle\files
then I open the book from my kindle app, I could read the book but "word wise" for the book is not working

I tried downloading the same book in sample version from the store and the word wise feature works properly so I suppose I have to buy the actual book from the store?

Is there a trick to get word wise to work on sideloaded books? I hope it's not against the rules here. I live in a poor country and I can't afford to buy all the books I read (lame excuse, I know) but trust me if I liked the book I usually buy them after finish reading it.
