Problem opening books in E-book viewer

I have started experiencing the following problem in my Calibre library. I am unable to open any books in my Library in the e-book viewer (using the "view" function). I receive the following error message:

WindowsError: [Error 5] Access is denied.: u'C:\\Users\\Marc.Furman\\AppData\\Local\\calibre-cache\\ev\\tdir-lock'

Some help would be much appreciated, thank you!

This usually happen when your AV / Smartscreen security setup for apps and files is blocking calibre.
