Series sort order in edit metadata window

I am surprised that the sort order for series in the metadata edit dropdown is not the library sort. Is there a way to have it sort so all the "The" series are not grouped together?

It is sorting correctly in the Library view so the tweak is correct, I believe.

It is only in the drop down list in the metadata edit screen where it does it pure alphabetically.

It has to be that way, otherwise completion would be very confusing. In order the select a series names Series, The you would need to type The Series.

One could in theory have completion also work of the sort values, but this rather too much effort, at least for me.
