Andriod based HTC G1

Ok,

How long until we see eReader and Stanza available for the Andriod platform?

The phone looks pretty sweet.

Hi,

I found a good source for HTC G1 info, I think you might be able to get an answer there.

Are you planing to buy the G1? I'm quite happy with my iPhone and I don't know what to do.

Good luck.

I certainly want one... I would buy it over the iPhone especially due to the physical keyboard. I have trouble using the iPod Touch virtual keyboard. However, I just can't justify paying for the Voice/Data service rates that they want. I currently use VirginMobile pre-paid and only use it sporadially so it only cost me the minumum $15 top-up every 3 months. A $40-$60 a month bill just seem outrageous to me.

Both FBReader and Stanza should be ported to Android, there's even a few screenshots available for FBReader: http://www.fbreader.org/FBReaderJ/screenshots.php

Can anybody find the pictures and post them here. I searched for them and could not find any. I like HTC phones and if this is better than iPhone (i know all phones are better than iPhone , but still), I may think about it depending upon its cost.

There are now lots of reviews out there (Google for android phone review), for example PCMAG's review has photos.

I played with the phone at a T-Mobile store yesterday. It's a nice little phone. I very much like how the primary screen is much like a PC desktop with adjustable icons, shortcuts, etc.
