Question about text to speech

Hi,
I currently use a voyage with the adapter for text to speech. I only have one available voice and wanted to know if the tts on the oasis 2 or kindle basic had other voices available? (I live in the U.S.)

They do not. I wish one could add voices as one can on Fire tablets, particularly for foreign languages.

I also wish they would add ‘plain old’ text-to-speech alongside VoiceOver, so it could read out text while leaving the normal navigation and features intact (again, like on Fire)>
