Sony Librie
I still use my librie but have ordered a new uk spec 505s. What I am wondering is if Calibre will/can write to the memory stick in the format used by the librie? ie update the index files and add remove lrf books?
I did look to see if this had been asked already but am unable to find it |

thanks for the swift response, I guess from its brevity that calibre is unlikely to support the old librie in future?
I have been trying to get booklistgengui to run but thats another story ![]() ![]() |

Its mainly for the memory card which would be accessible as a drive under windows, the structure of the directories and files are available i believe in a util called booklistgen. I long ago gave up directly hooking up the librie to my pc and now use the sony memory stick. i can provide samples from mine if that would be any help
![]() oh and i have java source for the procedure from the yahoo librie group somewhere if that would help ![]() Last edited by ho66es; 09-20-2008 at 03:27 PM. |

No sorry, I have no interest in developing a working driver. I'm willing to accept a patch from someone who does, but otherwise, you'll just have to use the "Save to disk" button.

thats sort of what i want to do, where n:\ is my sony memory stick, what i was wanting was the index to be updated when i add lrf files to the folder on the stick. The index also resides on the memory stick.

hope this makes sense
The following directories are necessary in the root of the memory stick: /mssony/librie/booklist /mssony/librie/usb /mssony/librie/reader/book/lrf /mssony/librie/reader/book/lrx /ebook/bbeb/book the lrf files go in /ebook/bbeb/book It would be nice if the LIBRIe could find all files in the /ebook/bbeb/book directory automatically. However, this is not possible. An index, or booklist, file (MgrTbl.dat) needs to be generated under the /mssony/librie/booklist directory. booklistgen does this, i guess what i was wondering is it that different with the prs models |

yeah the PRS models use an XML database as an index.
