Programmatically set date added to calibre
Hi. I have recently added my kindle collection of around 2000 books to calibre. One piece of information that I have lost in doing so is the purchased date. In other words, on my kindle I could sort by recent date and get, more or less, my collection sorted by oldest to most recent purchase.
What I am wondering is whether there is a way to programmatically set the date added to calibre field. Perhaps via some sort of script? I don't want to have to do this manually but could probably cope with sourcing the dates and copying them to a batch routine. I have come across the catalog and ebook-meta commands but I haven't put all the pieces together yet. |

Recent date on the K4, is the date last accessed, not added.
My Kindle Content (your account) has acquisition information, but lacks the ASIN to help match |

You can set any field int he calirbe database via the calibredb command line tool. https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gen...calibredb.html

@bob.f - this is an alternative to using calibredb in a script
If you can wrangle the book title, author and purchase date into a csv file, you should be able to use the Import List plugin to update a purchase date custom column. BR |
