Change in downloading samples/books in 5.8.11?
Hello good people,
I have noticed what I consider to be a glitch, which I think began when my Voyage was upgraded to 5.8.11. Now, when I try to download a sample or book from Amazon or the North Carolina digital library, it never appears. I spent a long time trying to figure this out and finally realized that it doesn't come to the kindle. If I set my kindle to see what is in the cloud, I find all the downloads I have requested. Then of course I can download from the cloud to the kindle. Is this happening to anyone else? Am I missing something? ETA: I did try a restart, but that didn't change anything. Thank you both for your responses. My experience is like John’s except that it doesn’t seem to be intermittent. It always happens. I haven’t changed anything in the Manage your Content and Devices page. So for example, if I am surfing Amazon’s kindle store on my computer and I want to download a sample to my kindle, I select the option to download to my KV. I get a message that it will be downloaded but it never comes. I have to select “all” on the kindle, then select the file and it begins to download. It was never a multi step process before.

Is is happening to me too, not just for samples but for Amazon purchases too. I automatically now check all items for anything missing, it's always there.
