iLiad book edition works only with AC adapter

Hello,

It seems like my new iLiad book edition is defective. It does not charge the battery and works only with AC adaptor connected to outlet.

When you connect adapter, LED turns to red on the device. If you disconnect adapter device swiches off. I don't know how to solve this problem myself. Is it more related to software issue or purelly hardware? Maybe somebody had this problem? Thanx for any sugestion.

Sounds like a bad battery. Contact iRex and they'll probably have you send it back to them to replace the battery. It should be covered under warranty.

Maybe it is the battery. If It is, for me it's probably better to purchase these batteries myself(maybe with more capacity) because I gues shipping price will be big to irex. This device worked at the begining on batteries, but after some time they discharged and never came back on.

They'll pay for the shipping if it's covered under warranty (I think it should be). They even send you a box to pack it in and return to them.

Hello,

I dissasembled myself the device and refited battery contacts. This helped and my irex is now working on bateries and they successfully charges.
