Changing Calibre to email AZW3/KFX formats?

Hi there,

I use Calibre to email my books into my Kindle Voyage as personal documents. I believe I presently have it set up to send them as .mobi files, at least thats what I see as the file attachement in my sent emssage.

With the new Firmware I understand that certain new features, the boldness slider and alignment choices, are only availabel for AZW3 and KFX books.

Can I configure cCalbre to email my personal documetns in these formats instead?

If so, is there any downside to doing so?

Amazon does not allow emailling in those formats. You can use joint MOBI files, but that is about it.

Thank you, I've bene reading up on it in the interim, I think I prefer the cover images over the bold slider so will stick to sending in a mobi.

I would like to convert epub to KFX and send it to my kindle, so as to have a properly formatted Arabic book. If calibre does not support emailing in that format, how can I read the document in my kindle?

It's not calibre that doesnt allow it, it's amazon. And you sideload them to your kindles using a USB cable.
