Question problem downloading metadata

Since the last 2 updates I cannot download metadata any longer. I always get an error message:
calibre, version 3.10.0
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>IOError</b>:[Errno 5] Input/output error

calibre 3.10 embedded-python: True is64bit: True

THat is an error writing to a calibre config file (metadata-sources-cache.json). Either the disk is failing or something on your computer is preventing the calibre worker process from writing to its files, probably a security/antivirus program that thinks it is a virus becuase it contacts lots of websites to download the metadata.
