Latest unbloated firmware Kobo Glo HD
What is the latest stable firmware for the Kobo HD that is not bloated with all these tiles I can't remove from the home screen? I wan't to read the books I push to my device with Calibre, nothing else.

Have you tried the most recent builds? They're nowhere close to being as in your face as the first round of the new homepage?

As PeterT said, the newer firmware isn't as in your face as people first thought. But, if you don't want the new home screen, then you are probably best to stay with 3.19.5761. Otherwise, the new home screen started appearing with one of the 4.3.x firmware and was rolled out completely with 4.4.9298. You would need to look at the release notes and discussions to decide which version to choose.

Thanks PeterT. I am running 4-5-9587 and 2/3 of the home screen is taken by tiles I can't remove, not even with the Kobo Utilities extension in Calibre.

Once 4.6.9960 is fixed, you'll be missing a lot of new features.
