Dates for Prof. F. c. Green, University of Edinborough

I'm a few days away from being able to upload Solammbo, and have a print copy of the J.M. Dent edition. I'd like to include the Introduction and the Appendix by F.C. Green, Professor of French Literature in the University of Edinburgh, but can't find his date of death. I've contacted the University, but no response yet.

Can anyone help with his date of death?

PS I've since found that his name was Frederick Charles Green

According to this German Wikipedia website, Green died in 1964.
Maybe you could use the preface by Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844–1889) from this edition.

Thanks for your help. I don't think I'll use the Gerard Manley Hopkins introduction; it doesn't seem right to use an introduction by one translator for another translator's work. And I was more interested in using the appendix.
