I Need a Phone thats Just Like the Amazon Fire Phone...

Looks like I be buying a New phone ASAP! Need advice on what to buy....

My son killed the 1st Fire phone Trying to change the Battery. 2nd phone I took to a place that works on cell phones. Now it has defective screen

in advance for advice on buying another phone....

I'm not sure what you mean by "just like the fire phone", but I think amazon has replaced that with this partnership with Motorola.

Apps don't matter.... Provider don't matter, as long as it unlocked.

Mostly, as Close to the same Hardware & on board storage.

The prime exclusive - and the discount - are only there for the version that have 'special offers' like the fire phone had.

I know you can buy it without special offers for full price.

I don't know much about the fire phones hardware, do you have a couple features that are important to you?

I don't think anyone else has the 4 cameras around the edges.

The Fire phone is at a technological and economic dead end. I wasn't asked, I know, but I would advise biting the bullet and go full Android. The way I see it, you'll have to do it eventually anyway, and right now, there are some Fantastic mid tier priced android phones on the market.

I don't know who your carrier is, but Verizon is selling the Motorola Z2 Play for $408 right now. Fantastic, smooth operating, phone. Literally, it is the best smartphone I've ever owned. (and I know the difference between 'literally' and 'figuratively'! :-) )

It is supposed to be sold unlocked sometime in October, 2017 if I recall.

I bought a Fire Phone after using an Android phone for a while. I didn't really take a good look at it till it was too late to return it and when I did I was sorry I'd waited so long. It's quite convoluted when compared to a plain vanilla Android phone.

You can get Motorola phones from Amazon that are unlocked for far less than the Fire Phone cost. They may or may not have as much storage but most will let you use a micro SD card to give you way more storage. My current phone, a Galaxy S5 (I don't recommend this one) cost $200 new (it's an older model) and it has a 128 gig micro SD card. I can also change the battery by popping off the back. It's user replaceable.

You have a lot of options.

Motorola uses a very vanilla Android in their phones and are a good choice. There are lots of other good choices as well.

I was looking at the BLU phones in Best Buy ...in the display line up was a back/battery but Not one person could tell me Which phone it went with! It like $30 ... I could have got a couple extras!

Any one know Which BLU cell phones have the back that a Battery?

UPDATE Son says it was a Motorola Battery/Back!

Are you using as a phone or audio player or e-reader? I would cry buckets if my Fire Phone had problems. My battery is still fine thank God.
I love that device. It's my e-reader, audio player.

Don't know of any Blu's with a user replaceable battery. Some LG phones have that, but I'm not sure if the most current ones do. The G5 and V20 both do if I'm recalling correctly.

Blossom... I use Fire Phone for EVERYTHING! Reading, Audiobooks, Movies, Music... & once in a Blue Moon Phone calls & texting! EMail, Facebook, Camera... & More!
I Pi$$ed Mad ... now have to find a phone I can afford that works as Great as the Fire does/did!!
