No startup apps on 1.8.2 firmware

Hi everyone.
I just updated my C67ML Carta2 to the latest firmware, 1.8.2. It works fine but a few apps that were running on startup are not doing it anymore. I have to start them manually everytime. I was using them for battery saving and were working pretty well (Greenify, No-frills, Barshortcuts...) I have tried to flash again firmware 1.8.1 and update to 1.8.2 but it didn't change anything. I also tried to move these apps to system/app or downloaded a few apps to start automatically apps on startup but with the same result.
Any suggestions? I really want these apps to open on startup.

I saw something similar with 1.8.2 on my Kepler. It's in repair right now but after I get it back I'll do some testing.

Seeing these posts, I thought I'd try to see if I could get Button Savior to launch at startup on my new K-Pro. I installed Tasker and set up a profile so that it would launch Button Savior at startup. It didn't work. Tasker itself can't launch at startup. This is odd, because I had Tasker set up on my Onyx Boox C67ML Carta. It ran properly.

I'll need to play around with my K-Pro a little more.

This isn't a huge issue, as all the apps work when I manually start them. But it would be nice if they could start at boot automatically!

Edit: I found my C67ML Carta. It is also running 1.8.2. I can't get Button Savior to load at startup there, either!

Thanks guys for answering and confirming this. I wrote to Onyx asking about it but they didn't answer. I think I'm going back to 1.8.1 since after a few days of testing I didn't see that much of improvement. Does anyone know if I can use the unzip.zip to downgrade? It would save some time.

I've tried with the update.zip from 1.8.1 but a couple of things don't work properly (kind of a "dirty flash" symptom I guess). I will have to do a clean flash with factory tools then.

Just got a new Kepler as replacement for my broken one. It came pre-installed with 1.8.2, startup apps didn't work (I also absolutely _need_ button savior). Downgraded to 1.8.1 via Mfg Tool and startup apps work. I will complain to Onyx in hope they fix this in future releases.

After going back to 1.8.1 I was getting the annoying pop-up message: "please check the pre-installed books, dictionary and tts". It was reported here but I couldn't find the solution (since opening the manual, the dictionary and the tts settings didn't work for me), so I post it here. Just disable /system/app/MediaFloat.apk and in the app drawer, opened options and cleared test apps

So here's Onyx' confirmation they deliberately disabled the feature:
