collaborative real-time editor on Kindle DX???

Will any collaborative real-time editor work on the Kindle DX?
I am thinking of buying a kindle DX, as I would like to have an ereader again. I had a nook simple touch, but lent it to someone who didn't return it a couple of years ago. I would also like something to take to school that is bigger than my smartphone and more manageable than my laptop.
I understand that the word processor ereader is a holy grail for a lot of people, and that it can't really be had. What I want to do is use a collaborative real-time editor on my smartphone, with a usb keyboard hooked up to it, and access the page with the DX's browser when I am in wifi. I tried it with my phone and laptop, and it was a touch slow, but good enough for me. Will this work with a DX?

Well given that eInk browsing is slower than most current smartphones and laptops, you'll find browsing even slower. The problem with the DX is that it runs an old firmware and is far from current. So even if a PW3 can do this, chances are the DX may not do this.

Thank you JSWolf for your help. I decided to buy another nook ST, as it has plenty of support for turning it into exactly what I want. The screen is a little small, but I liked my old one, and you can't beat the price.

Because it is easy to hack as the needed software is all available free, and once hacked, it is not just a eink word processor, but a bad linux computer/android tablet as well

Because it was <1/7 the price of any other ereader I thought I might want.

The javascript support in the DX browser is little to none.

If the javascript and html5 native support is not enough (it should be, the Kindle systems uses it, itself), then that model will run skipstone as an alternative to its built-in browser.

Good call on the Nook ST. I've tried more recent open Android e-readers, but the Nook continues to be the most practical to use. I didn't know you could use Linux on it. I just run Android apps on it.

The price was only a piece of my reason, the main part was the amount of support it has.

Besides, while that is a good price, I paid $21 including shipping for a refurb.

1)ePub reader (any other formats are a plus)
2)word processor
I own a good windows laptop and android phone. All I would want to do is read books, write, and do papers for school. I'm not really worried that I won't be able to do those things. Anything else I would do as I am doing now.

I answered the question that you asked, please re-read the title you gave this thread.
The 'back handed way' was the link that you gave as representative.
It was your own idea and your own example implementation that you are (or should be) criticizing, not my answer.

Plus, now that you have added: "do my school papers" -
What place does a collaborative real-time editor have to do with doing your own school work?
Notice the word: "own" in the phrase "own school work".
The papers you do should reflect what you have learned and understand, not the sum of the knowledge of a collaborative group.
You might just as well have asked for an editor that has an "auto plagiarize" feature of the Internet knowledge pool.
