Option to hide books with read : yes while browsing content server

I'm looking for a way or may be a feature request (as option via preferences) to hide books with read : yes while browsing content server, so we do not have to open book details everytime to see if the book is read or not
Or at least option to to show read :yes in book list while browsing content server (not in book details) (while connected not after disconnect) so we can choose quickly some unread books to download without need to go to book details to see if the book is read or not

Have you created a Virtual Library (VL) in Calibre with what you want to see?

Even easier to remember is

#read:false

I have tested it and it works.

Done because of Tri-state issues

In this case you should probably not use use "not #read:true".

The manual says:

Yes/no custom columns are searchable. Searching for false, empty, or blank will find all books with undefined values in the column. Searching for true will find all books that do not have undefined values in the column. Searching for yes or checked will find all books with Yes in the column. Searching for no or unchecked will find all books with No in the column. Note that the words yes, no, blank, empty, checked and unchecked are translated; you can use either the current language’s equivalent word or the English word. The words true and false and the special values _yes, _no, and _empty are not translated.

Thus with tri-state columns, to find books with #read set to no or to nothing (anything but "yes"), use

not #read:yes

I will fix my saved searches for optimum results.

What I do is have my read column set to Y and not read set to blank. There's no need to set them to N. That's extra work for no return.

No return for you. I use N to mean "I passed this book by on purpose", which sometimes means "I am not going to read this book". I can sync that back to calibre for later thought about what it means to the other columns I maintain.

Whereas I use the N setting for books I've paid money for, intend to read and haven't yet read. Free books and books I'be bought for others to read are left unmarked until read. Books I've tried and do not intend to finish are given a read date without a read marking.
