Hi everyone, this is my first post here
![]() I have new Kindle Oasis with Jailbroken firmware version 5.8.7.0.1. I noticed that Word Wise does not show hints for hyphenated words on Kindle. I attached a screenshot of the same page on Kindle for Android versus Kindle Oasis. Actually I noticed this issue starting from the initial shipped firmware 5.8.2.1. Any idea if this has been fixed in more recent version of the firmware? I would appreciate if someone can try and let me know. Thank you. |

I confirm the existence of a problem. KPW3 Firmware 5.8.7. But such situations are very rare. Hints for some words with hyphens are present.

I tried it on a PW2 running 5.8.10 and saw the same thing. When I changed the font size in a book so that a word became hyphenated it lost the Word Wise annotation.

Please read the thread properly. The OP is not saying that hyphenation doesn't work, but that word wise doesn't work when a word is hyphenated.

OK. I upgraded firmware to 5.8.10. Problem still exists. When I changed the font size in a book so that a word became hyphenated it lost the Word Wise annotation. But when I changed the font size in a book some words lost the Word Wise annotation too even if there is no hyphen...

You received replies: F9 and F11 on the C.S. keyboards.
They don't mean much other than the C.S. person pressed those keys. (Or whichever keys they actually are, I was guessing in my first line.) |

Asking when it will be fixed is not a good idea. The person you are talking to can't say when it will be fixed if it even will be fixed. That's acting like you are entitled to it being fixed now. It just seems a bit rude (IMHO).
